about me

personal + career

the 60 second summary

Born and raised in Hawaii, where driving across the island can be achieved in about an hour, I grew up longing to have a great American road trip. In 2020, my boyfriend and I started working on that dream, and we built out a 2007 Dodge Sprinter Van, affectionately called "Pig the Rig." We drove Pig from Texas to Washington, with a bunch of misadventures along the way. Here are parts of her story and as well as ours.

Outside of van life, I'm a data scientist based in Seattle and a quasi-competitive runner, racing on the track, road, and cross country. Other hobbies include sewing, cooking, and cuddling with my geriatric dog, Peanut.

examples of the types of projects I tackle at work

Competitive Product Feature Usage - Data Scientist

msft.png

Leveraged browser telemetry to understand competitor productivity app usage, by parsing URLs and template naming conventions to understand user counts and engagement time for specific features on competitor products. Labeling and quantifying feature usage enabled side-by-side 1P and 3P product comparisons, leading to actionable product strategy changes for varying customer segments and geographies.

 Multi-Product Scorecard - Data Scientist

msft.png

Developed a scorecard to quantify mature and emerging competitors of our 1P products, comprised of a series of usage metrics that I proposed and iterated upon based on product team feedback. Centralizing on core usage metrics created standardization and product scalability, as well as a shared vocabulary across product teams to better understand the entire product suite to make joint product decisions.

  • Monthly Business Review MBR: complementary to the product syncs, showcased marketing, finance, and strategy updates to Product Leadership across PM and engineering
